Oilers top prospect and the World Juniors

The Edmonton Oilers are well represented this year for the 2016 World Junior Championship

The 3rd pick of the 2015 NHL Draft, Dylan Strome will be centering the top line with Mitch Marner and John Quenneville
Other Prospect Mathrew Barzal is expected to be the second line center for team canada, playing with Brayden Point and another player
Travis Konecny is also there, the always dangerous Konecny will play a bottom 6 role this year.

Representing Russia is Evgeny Svechnikov
Having represented Russia last year, Svechnikov will have another get go to get a Medal for the always dangerous Russia.

Noah Hanifin could also have represented the United States, but the team chose not to release him.

Having a little bit of attitude problems, Joshua Ho Sang has been snug by Team Canada in his last eligible year to play in the WJC.

GM Allain also responded to a few questions concerning him.

Media: You must be happy about the way Gaudreau and Klingberg have been producing after these enourmous contract

GM Allain: To be fair both players had tremoundous talent, the team needed to go above the salary floor so we took a gamble on these 2 players. Turns out both are having impact years with the team and will be in the teams future going forward.

Media: Your team is not having a great year, any plan on arranging that?

GM Allain: It's important not to panic and trade the future away. I knew that this was going to be a long rebuild when I took over, but with the addition of Klingberg and Gaudreau,  the amazing year that Draisailt is having, I might be forced to make trades to go for the playoffs next year.

We have plans to go after Free Agents during the off season and if we cannot get them, the team will find teams to trade with and get better by trading.
