Edmonton End of Year Summary

2016-04-12

With the season ending early for the Oilers, there has been lots of speculation of what GM Allain will do next.

After going 13-2-4 in his last 19 games, GM Allain is liking what he sees.

This year was suppose to be a rebuilding year for the Oilers, but it looks like the rebuild might be over and it's time to aim for the playoffs.

GM Allain said today to make the playoffs, the oilers will be in search for a number 1 goalie, and 2 top 6 forwards.
There is Free Agency coming up, and also the trade period will re-open once the playoffs are over.

He's still clearly saying it, he will not move his best prospects for immediate help. GM Allain believes that you cannot give up your future just to make the playoffs.

Next up the oilers are looking at the draft, they possibly have the 11th pick, and if luck prevails, could draft either in the top 3.
