Barons defeat Marlies, advance to Semi Finals

The Oklahoma City Barons have advanced to the Semi- Finals of the Calder CUp, after an impressive 4-1 series against the Toronto Marlies.

Adam Larson has been phenominal these playoffs, posting 20 points in 12 games to lead the team in points, but fellow defensman David Rundblad is close behind, with 18 points in as many games.

" We know we are in for a tough battle against Rochester" stated assistant captain Chris Thorburn " They have a very impressive roster, with a ton of quality players"

" We have definitley been playing better as a unit then rochester i think" Stated Captain jim Vandermeer " We have alot of different guys putting up big numbers, while they only have about 3 or 4 guys carrying their team."

Rochester comes into the series riding a very hot goaltender in Matt Halkett, who is posting a .93 save percentage and a 2.4 GAA.

Oklahoma will look to Yann Danis to mend the pipes, who has posted a .908 save percentage and a 3.17 GAA.

This should be a VERY tough series for both teams, but hopefully the Barons can fend off the Americans
