The other two things I am still trying to figure out is within those ratings where we have a numeric value assigned to a player, what is the break points on a bad/below average/average/above average/good/excellent score. Also has anyone put much thought into Phy/DF/OF and other settings in the simulator like th team wide strategies.

I think they should be adjusted to best suit your teams style, there is no one size fits all setting that will be optimal for all teams. Usually takes me a few weeks of fine tuning to figure out what works best with my roster.

Less so in this league, I find it's very offense heavy so even when you play super defensively there's still a ton of goals. But yea generally if offense is high is see more shots taken and more shots surrendered, higher PHY I see more fights and more hits

But if you don't have the players to play an offensive style, you'll just get caved in with a high OFF setting

I dunno if it works "better" but I found the differences in my game stats more apparent
