Buffalo Sabres Trade Block

Believe it or not, the Buffalo Sabres are considering moving one of the top defenseman in the league.  Obviously, the return would need to be amazing for the Sabres to move him.  Doughty is rated great every year, signed cheap in the sim and only 28 years old.

After going all-in for the past couple of seasons, the Sabres are not as strong this year after losing top guys like Pavelski, Zetterberg and Chara.  It might make sense to move a guy like Doughty right now for the right offer.

"It would be very tough to move a guy like Drew.  We are open to all kind of offers but it would make sense to pull the trigger on a package including a first line center and maybe a young dman and-or prospect." said GM Blanchard.  "We drafted Drew with our first pick at the beginning of the league and he has been our best dman every year except one.  A team getting a guy like him know that they are getting a guy at his peak who will still be at the top for many years."
