Sabres vs Capitals

The Sabres made it to the Eastern Conference final by beating the Red Wings in six games.  Thank god a game 7 was not needed in Detroit!  After playing against the 7th team overall in the regular season (Bruins) and the 3rd overall team (Red Wings), the Sabres will now face another top contender since the Caps finished 5th overall with 112 points, 11 more points than the Sabres.

The Caps eliminated the top team in the regular season in the second round of the playoffs, the Islanders, in seven games.

During the regular season, Buffalo and Washington faced each other three times.  Washington won the first two games by a score of 3-2 and Buffalo won the last game 6-4.  Both teams have scored 10 goals in those games so even if they both have a top goaltender in net with Luongo and Price, expect to see some goals in that series.
