Manny Malhotra moved to Calgary

This morning, GM Michaud sent an offer to GM Rockett when he saw Malhotra on his trade list. A simply offer to start the talks. It was a surprise that this offer was accepted without more talking. For some GMs it's only a 4th line trade without any interests.

False!

Malhotra it's a fantastic acquisition for Calgary Flames. Despite he will not contribute offensively (we know that because we didn't get him to score), he will be a major part for the youngsters of the team. His leadership and his experience will help Doan, Roszival, Little and Mcleod to prepare the rest of the team for the remaining games and espicially for the playoffs. Last year, we lost in Conference finals and we have for goal to get to the same point even if we traded guys like Hornqvist, Okposo and Stepan who were the core of  the team last year. It's his last year in the NHl and we thought that we are giving him the best opportunity to end his career by helping younger players to start theirs!

GM Miichaud believes in his current team. More trades will probably happen before the trade deadline but like GM Michaud said, the current roster is good for the moment.

See you soon and Happy New Year to all GMs!!!!
