DRAFT - MONDAY - JUNE 30th - 6 PM ET

2025-06-27

Draft MONDAY – June 30th                       6:00 PM ET  - all 5 rounds!
 DRAFT IS MANDATORY, you must be present or send a list to the league or prepare your list on the draft page (For at least the first 2 rounds).

 The draft and free agency are as important as what we did 2 weeks ago (submitting your roster after the rerates), if you don't show up for these, we ll find another GM to take care of your team.

 Draft order on the portal is a bit off and will be corrected Saturday evening or Sunday.   You will be able to create drafting list(s) for you team on the portal as soon as I’ve entered all the prospects on the portal (Saturday evening following the NHL draft).

 =============================================================

 For those who are not familiar with the draft process on the portal.

Go to
TRANSACTIONS / PROSPECT DRAFT
Select 2025 Entry Draft if it`s not already there by default.

When the draft is started, you will see the time left before you draft but this is based on if every team takes 5 mins (maximum time allowed) to select his player, so this is the maximum time before you will draft.  GMs will often draft right away, so keep an eye on this, refreshing the page regularly if you are drafting in the next 4-5 teams.  That counter can go from 25 minutes to 5 mins in just 2-3 minutes if GMs are drafting quickly, so be alert.

Once you have clicked on MAKE SELECTION when it's your turn to draft, you will see this below. Pick the player you want in the list on your left and press SUBMIT only once.  On the right end side, you have the option to select the best player available by position (can be useful in later rounds), they're ranked based on where they were selected in the real NHL draft.

Do not take more than 5 mins to draft, if you do so, it will give you the "best" player available.  When you're on the clock, you're on clock, don't lose your time and draft.  If there's a trade to announce, message me right away so we can stop the counter.  After the trade is completed, we will unpause the draft.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, if you have created a list BUT youre present at the draft, don't wait for your list to do the job, draft manually instead, this will save us a lot of time!

If you think you won't be able to make it at the draft, you can create a list in advance

Click on CREATE A DRAFT LIST and make a list of the players you want in the order you want them.  Be smart when creating your list, let's say you re drafting 26th overall, there's no point to list the top 15 players who were drafted in the NHL, you know they ll be gone, just add the players you think would still be there.  That's even more important if let's say you're creating your list for the second round, if youre drafting 55th, you don't want to add 55 players in your list, you know that 40-45 even 50 of them would already taken, just add the ones you want and you think would still be there.  IF YOU WANT TO USE THE LIST, REMEMBER YOU HAVE TO CREATE A LIST FOR EACH ONE OF YOUR PICK.

I'm sending this message by email with all the pics I couldn't add here, contact me now with any questions you may have.
