MONTREAL, QC - As the Canadiens preseason and training camp has come to a close and the official start to the season is today, the team knows things are just getting started. Head coach Barry Trotz stated, "This team learned a lot about itself and some of the new faces in recent weeks. Now, it's time to put it all to the test in a grueling, 82-game season."

 

Montreal finished the preseason with a 4-8-2 record, but split up ice time amongst some players from the team's AHL affiliate Laval Rockets and the team's veteran players as well. This morning the team announced that the following players had made the final cut and the projected lineup for the start of the regular season:
