Get ready for season 7!

2017-06-04

Hi All!

First, please welcome Matt Sullivan who will be the GM of the Vegas Golden Knights!

We are looking for a GM for the Montreal Canadiens, if you know an experienced GM who would be interested, let me know and I`ll have a chat with him.

Note: American League - The Blues won`t officially have a team in the AHL in 2017-18, it was supposed to be Kansas City but it didn't work out, we will have the Kansas City Blues affiliated to St. Louis in our League.

No trade Clauses kicking in on July 1st 2017 - they have been activated already, so if you want to trade one of these players before July 1st, just add them as a future compensation.

RATINGS

New Ratings are up on the portal, activation of new prospects as well.  You know the drill, go through the list of UNASSIGNED Players (Transactions/unassigned) and claim your prospects that have been activated. If you don't they will become available for all GMs to bid on on July 1st. This should been done ASAP!

- If a prospect has played less than 10 NHL games, you can ask the league to list him back as a prospect, just reply to this email.

- If you think a player was not rated correctly, report it before June 10th.  We are not talking about one or 2 points here and there as we could have this discussion for pretty much all players in the league, here we are talking about obvious errors during the re-rate process.

- League opens on June 10th with trades, buyouts (33% and 66%), signings, etc.  Expect the salary demands to go up a bit and to look more like the real NHL. Contract extension:  maximum amount of years went from 4 to 3. Remember, if you wait after the season before signing a player, the more they will ask for.

- Teams under the supervision of the trade committee: Carolina, Mtl, Ottawa, Vancouver, Vegas.

- Salary Cap is expected to be around $75M, just waiting for the confirmation from the NHL. Floor should be around $56M.

- off season rules: all picks in the next 2 seasons can be traded.

Free agency - July 1st

Alright enough for today, will send a reminder on June 9th.

Remember, reply to all messages within 48 hours and review the league`s rules.

Thanks!

Steve
