Panthers start season strong!!!

The Florida Panthers have started the season off as one of their best starts to a season in 3 years. They kicked off the season vs their rival team the Tampa Bay Lighting and had a close game. In the end the Panthers won the game with a final score of 4-3. Starting the 3rd period the score was tied at 2 a peace then the lighting went up by one but the Panthers didnt give up and they came back strong to finsh off the 3rd scoreing 2 goals 1:07 apart to take a 4-3 lead.

We got the chance to talk to GM Spencer about the game and he was not pleased with the outcome of the game. "We should have won that game by a lot more then we did the lighting are no chance for us and we play on winning every game against them. The team took to many penalties and that has to change. In total we took 9 penalties that game and that should not happen vs a rival team. Im happy that we killed 7-9 but I want that to change and team leaders have to show more sportsman ship and we can not afford our top guys to take stupid penalties. Next time we play the Lighting we will win by a lot more then what we did that game" said GM Spencer.

At the press confrence this morning GM Spencer said " We have a hard part of our schedule coming up as we are going on the road to play our next 4 games. Its good to start the season off with 2 games at home then hit the road so we can get the boys use to other stadiums and be prepared for a long season ahead". The Panthers start a 4 game road trip tonight against the Buffalo Sabres hoping to keep up their winning ways. They play the Sabres, Capitals, Avalanche and then they have an home and home with the Coyotes.

"I promise you Florida fans that this is a new team and we are here to win this season. We will have ups and downs because the divison we are in is filled with a lot of young talent and skill." Said GM Spencer.
