Late last night, GM St-Pierre made a small trade in aquiring old timer Joe Corvo from the Chicago Black Hawks.  In return, the Hawks received a forth and fifth round for Corvo.  If the standings stay the same along the season, a small price to pay for a 36 yo defenceman in two low picks...Buf & Mtl.....for still great overall stats in defenceman Corvo. 

A few teams were septical on the move due to the young core the Bolts have in been building up.  Bob McKenzie interviewed GM St-Pierre on the trade he made.

Bob Mckenzie:  Why trading for a 36 years old when you have so much youth in your roster?

GM St-Pierre: Gonchar felt too old on the team, and I needed to find a partner to help him sharing his senior discount cards when we go on road trips. 

Bob McKenzie: ???......hum....ahh...really.....what?

GM St-Pierre:  Come on Bob.....you know every team need to have experience in the locker room......and both players saw everything possible on and of the ice.  Great assets to teach some young one like Weircioch, Vlasic or Postma.  And one more highlight in Tampa having the oldest defence pairing with a 39 and 36 year old players.

After a strange start of the season, the Bolts are seeing themself being pushed away lower in the standing in the last games........The Bolts had a tremendous first SIM season  last year, and now in the toughest division in the league, things have to be spotless to advance....

Many rumors around the league point in the "re-build" direction for the Tampa Bay Lightning if they don't start winning a few games in a row.  In the last 10 games, the Bolts are 3-4-3.
