New GM for the Canes

Carolina hurricanes just appointed Olivier Lecointe as new GM of the team

While there is short time before the trade deadline , the new GM might look into taking offers for Dustin Byfuglien (and possibly some others names) and eventually pull the trigger on a coupe trades pending approval of the Trade Comittee.
