Nylander Closing in on NHL Scoring Milestone

Toronto Maple Leafs forward William Nylander is edging closer to hockey history after scoring his 59th goal of the 2025–26 season, leaving him just one shy of the benchmark set by Patrick Kane, who scored 60 goals in the 2020–21 season.

Nylander also etched his name into the Maple Leafs record books in his last outing, surpassing the franchise’s single-season goals record previously held by Filip Forsberg, who netted 58 goals in the 2019–20 campaign.

With 10 games remaining in the regular season, Nylander has a strong opportunity to not only tie Kane’s mark but potentially set a new high-water mark for the league.
