Burns on the Move?

It's no secret that the San Jose Sharks have been rebuilding for some time. So when rumours of a possible deal involving veteran D Brent Burns started popping up, no one was surprised, not even Burns.

"Well it's part of the game." Burns said. "Hockey is a business and they have to do what's right for them. I'd love to win a Cup, but I told Closty (San Jose GM Mike Clost) that I want to win it here, and I think we have the makings of something special."

When asked about the possible moves at a media scrum, GM Clost had this to say:

"I think alot of people can see that patience and shrewd deals have been my style here in San Jose.I'm going to do everything in my power to bring a championship here. No one is untouchable, thats just a bad way to do business, Burnsy knows that, every player on this team knows that. With that being said though, I think it would take a serious offer that could make us a better team now for me to even consider moving a leader that Burnsy."

San Jose's rough 2-8-1 start to the season has many thinking it's time to burn the boats and go for a complete youth movement, but like GM Clost said, Patience.
