Contract signed

Star defender Evan Bouchard have signed a 3-year extension with  Washington Capitals today.

His salary will be at 6.85m per year. 

-It's a steal of a deal on a high profile player like this. And we are extreamly happy to get him locked up for coming years. He is a very important player for us, said Capitals GM Jani.

Bouchard had 22 goals and 58 assists last year, with that he was the scoring leader of defencemen in the league.

Nice job Jani. I see NHL Oilers are trying to negotiate with him now. Be curious to see what he gets in NHL, but you got a really good deal for a veteran blue liner.

Steeve Cyr The Oilers just sent E. KAne to Vancouver, they now have the money to pay Bouchard.

Steeve Cyr Na, he will hit free agency next year as an RFA, didnt want to accept a bridge contract, apparently he doesnt like to have to wear a bulletproof vest when walking around in Detroit..... Pffff!
