GM Denis Leblanc is thrilled to announce the signing of 4 players this morning. Star d-man Josh Morrissey 3x9,306 + bonus + ntc, centre Pavel Zacha 3x5.634 + bonus, winger Joel Farrabee 3x4.864 and d-man Justin Barron 3x2.693.
We feel these signing are a little more then we wanted to pay, but you gotta pay to resign good players. With the salary cap projecting to go up to 104 million in 26-27 and 113.5 million in 27-28, we think these signing will be just fine, said Leblanc.
Mark Stone remains the last Avalanche to resign.
We just missed resigning Mark this am, said Leblanc. We had a 55% chance of resigning him and Mark chose to roll a 56%.
Mark will remain a key piece on the PP/PK and we have no desire to trade him as we try to go back-to-back.

GM Denis Leblanc announced this morning that the team has signed star d-man Devon Toews to a 3 year contract extention.
The deal is front loaded with an AAV of 8.457 million per season + a signing bonus of a little over 2.5 million.
I'm thrilled we got Devon signed, said Leblanc.
I'm a bit frustrated with only getting 1 player signed, going 1/6 in trying to sign guys isn't fun, said Leblanc.
"Those 5 guys have been treated like Kings the last 2 weeks since winning the cup".
It's very frustrating, but it's business. We'll try to negotiate with their agents and sign them in the weeks to come, said Leblanc.
